Somerset Gloves Off Campaign

Disposable gloves are one of the biggest environmental hotspots, with 1.4 billion gloves being used across the NHS each year. Despite this usage there are many circumstances where glove use is unnecessary. Somerset ICS is on a mission to encourage healthcare professionals to reduce unnecessary use of non-sterile gloves. Using gloves when you don’t need to not only contributes to environmental damage, but it also disrupts good hand hygiene practice.
